Phidelis is an ICT4D expert and currently serves as a Technology for Development Specialist for the UNICEF Malawi Innovation section. Phidelis has 15 years of experience, where most of it has been in the implementation of digital health solutions in Malawi. Through PEPFAR funding, Phidelis led the design, development, and deployment of Electronic Medical Records for the management of HIV/AIDS for Malawi’s Ministry of Health when he worked for Baobab Health Trust. Phidelis also led the implementation of multiple mobile health interventions in Malawi’s hard to reach areas. In his role at UNICEF Malawi, Phidelis supports the Ministry of Health in the implementation and maintenance of Electronic Integrated Disease surveillance and other digital health tools developed for the COVID-19 Response. Phidelis holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Hertfordshire, England.
