Mark DeZalia

Information Systems Team Lead

Since 2009, Mark has supported the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) in a number of health information systems-related roles within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the PEPFAR Coordination Office at Department of State, where he currently serves as the Information Systems Team Lead in the Program Results and Impact Monitoring for Epidemic Control Unit. He manages a team based around the world that supports all aspects of PEPFAR’s centrally-supported information systems stack, including a global DHIS2 implementation. Mark holds a Master of Public Administration with a focus on intersectoral management from the Hertie School of Governance, a Master of Science in biological and biomedical sciences from Emory University, and a Bachelors of Science in biology and computer information systems from Middle Tennessee State University. He is a proud member of the third graduating class of the Arkansas School for Mathematics and Sciences, a public residential STEM-focused high school.
