Juan Pablo Sarmiento is a director of engineering at Zenysis. Juan Pablo has worked at the intersection of technology and humanitarian efforts for eight years, building early warning systems, data analysis products, and rapid response tools for emergency situations in Mozambique, Philippines, Vanuatu, and the United States. At Zenysis, Juan Pablo directs front-end development and architecture of the core data integration and visualization platform. He also leads team engagement, development and recruitment initiatives. Prior to Zenysis, Juan Pablo worked at Palantir Technologies as the first engineer on their Philanthropy team, where he built data analysis products for institutions working in disaster relief, food security, public health, homelessness, and anti-human trafficking. Juan Pablo holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Cornell University. He is fluent in English and Spanish, and conversational in Portuguese.
