Dr. Serge Somda is a methodologist and biostatistician. He has a PhD in Applied Mathematics/biostatistics from the University of Toulouse, a MSc in Public Health from the University of Bordeaux, a MSc in Applied Mathematics and Scientific Computing from the University of Ouagadougou and a BEng in Statistics from the National School of Applied Economics in Dakar. Dr. Serge Somda is a consultant, expert in Health Information Systems at the West African Health Organization (WAHO). He also acts as an Assistant Professor in Applied Mathematics with a specialization in Statistics at the University Nazi Boni, and as an associate researcher at the Muraz Research Center. He leads and participates in numerous public health and statistical projects aimed at improving decision-making. He has extensive experience in the production of public statistics, especially since he previously worked at his country's statistical institute. Dr. Somda has authored and co-authored more than thirty papers.
